Consequences In Life

When I feel that I am lacking in life, character, happiness, or peace it is time to take a hard look at where I am at in life. Am I lacking boldness, understanding, or honor; searching for life’s basics needs; or in need of compassion or deliverance from others.

There is one thing that ties all of these together. It is so easy to forget that everything that I do or every thought that I think results in consequences in my life, my character, my relationships with others and with God. Sometimes I don’t see them or if I do, don’t think they are worth it and that always makes it harder to stand my ground, to do what is right. Today, from Proverbs 28 & 29, God reminded me that there are many consequences of being righteous and that if I stand firm in my convictions to do what it right at work, in life, in my relationships, and with him I will experience them in my life.

Righteousness brings boldness (28:1)
Righteousness helps you understand all things (28:5b)
Righteousness brings honor (28:7, 29:3a, 29:23b, 25b)
The righteous finds compassion (28:13)
Deliverance comes to those who are righteous (28:18, 26)
God will provide for the righteous (28:10b, 19, 27a)
The righteous will be abounding with blessings (28:20)
The righteous will find favor with man (28:23)
